Willard John, Principal of the St. Croix Career & Technical Education Center (CTEC), announces that the 3rd Annual Men's Carousel will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the school’s campus.
The setting will help strengthen the bonds between fathers and sons (men and boys) allowing them to spend the day together competing in sports and dominoes, participating in hands-on workshops like cooking, wood craft, auto mechanics, karate, kite flying, and many more activities. All males are invited to participate. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided.
“The Men’s Carousel was a dream in the making of the St. Croix Career & Technical Education Center’s (CTEC) Parent Advisory Committee (PAC),” Mr. John said. “Two years ago, they met and discussed the importance of the father’s role, how we could get them to attend school meetings, attend games, and get more directly involved in their children’s lives. The Men’s Carousel came to fruition with the assistance of CTEC’s faculty and staff and, other community-minded individuals.”
