Senator-At-Large Craig W. Barshinger and Our Town Frederiksted will conduct a meeting regarding the re-starting of Harbour Nights on St. Croix. This meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 15th at 1:30 pm at the Caribbean Melting Pot on St. Croix and is open to any business, individual, or government official interested in restarting Harbour Nights.
Senator Barshinger invites all to come and have their say in the discussion of how Harbour Nights and the Cruise Ship Industry can be mutually beneficial to each other and to the entire island of St. Croix.
"St. Croix is ready," says Senator Barshinger. "In the face of global economic challenges, the cruise ship industry and the tourist market are still doing relatively well but there is no guarantee that this will continue. Crucians must become aggressive and creative in their arketing. They must offer incentives and attract activities that will encourage continuous cruise ship visits to St. Croix. I am very excited and encouraged that government, businesses, and individuals are coming together September 15th to decide on the restarting of Harbour Nights on St. Croix."
