Small Plane Crashes Into Sea Near Frederiksted, One Confirmed Dead
One confirmed dead in plane crash about 3 miles off west coast of Frederiksted St. Croix

62-year-old Anguillian pilot Levette Dubois Ruan died when his private aircraft crashed about three and a half miles off the northwest coast of St. Croix on Sunday evening, October 7. Mr. Ruan resided and worked in St. Thomas for many years since leaving Anguilla and was the owner of one of the largest marinas in St. Thomas. The Anguillian pilot was travelling to St. Croix to pick up his grandchild. At this time it is unknown as to the exact cause of the plane crash. The Coast Guard said the plane was travelling from St. Thomas (without a flight plan) and was heading to St. Croix. According to the FAA, the pilot had reported problems around 7pm. Rescue workers later found the debris field. Among the debris was human remains. Mr. Ruan was flying alone. The weather conditions for flying was poor as there were showers and thunderstorms in the area causing the suspension of other inter-island flights.

Proper addressing will reduce postal service delays
Improper addressing of letters and parcels will significantly delay US Postal Service mail. Unlike times past, todays mail is scanned by computers. If the address format is not correct it gets put aside and must be processed by hand when convenient. This extra processing takes time and is not the priority of the US Postal Service. It is very important to have a proper address format which includes proper abbreviations. Download the
Postal Addressing Standards document to learn more. The last two pages of the document are specifically for the USVI.
Here are some examples of proper and improper addressing:
